Sorry for that title. Like everyone else, I'm suffering from post election night fatigue. But this post won't be about presidential politics, but about another ideological struggle...
The New York Times has an article on the great stretching debate:
Stretching: The Truth
This quote pretty much sums up the article:
"Researchers now believe that some of the more entrenched elements of many athletes’ warm-up regimens are not only a waste of time but actually bad for you."
Mobility drills, anyone?

What about static stretching after a run?
Is it best to do mobility drills again after a run, or static stretching, or not stretch at all?
Since we're talking about the election kind of sort of, to combat the previous post about conservatives and running, Rahm Emanuel is an amateur triathlete.
At CA, we warm up with a gentle 800m jog, foot drills, and mobility drills (dynamic stretching). After the main workout we do static stretching and core exercises.
I've done mobility stuff after workouts (track workouts, especially) but the down side is that being fatigued, its that much easier to get sloppy and use poor technique.
Same here on the 800m and mobility but
foot drills?
Like ladders or shin splint prevention drills?
